The Edinburgh hotel suite where J.K. Rowling completed the Harry Potter series has become a mecca for fans across the world, at almost £1000 a night. Renamed 'The J.K. Rowling Suite', it still contains the marble bust she triumphantly signed after completing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in January of last year.
J.K. Joins Protest of Age Guidance Limits

J.K. Rowling is joining hands with fellow fantasy writer Philip Pullman in a bid to block plans by publishers to put age guidance limits on books. Pullman is just one of the authors and illustrators livid about the move, which would see kids' books getting age limits rather like what the movies have today.
Muggle Construction Moves Platform 9 3/4

Platform 9 and 3/4 will be shifted later this year to allow construction work on the West side of King's Cross station in London, according to Jon Burden, the former Duty Station Manager at King's Cross. The enchanted platform will be relocated to the front of the station, close to the ticket office, in September.

The Original Fat Lady Passes Away

Sad news Potter fans, Elizabeth Spriggs, who played the Fat Lady in Sorcerer's Stone, passed away at the age of 78 on July 2nd in Oxfordshire. She was best known in the UK for her roles in plays on London's West End, TV dramas including Doctor Who, and she was a long-time member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Electronic Arts launched the official site for the HBP videogame. You can now read a game overview, sign up to get game news, and watch the teaser trailer. Most of the site's interactive features are still to come, but you can view what they have here. And the official teaser trailer for the HBP videogame is now online at Yahoo. The official release date of the HBP videogame is November 13th in the US and November 14th in Europe.
