The Scotsman reported that J. K. Rowling paid a heart-warming visit to the Royal Edinburgh Hospital in Morningside to interact with patients. She daubed graffiti on the walls of the Young People's Unit, which cares for teenagers with psychiatric conditions. According to consultant psychologist Dr Jane Morris, "She really does spread magic. She's a natural and knows how to talk to young people. And she's extremely cool. She does graffiti on the walls which is probably worth a fortune. She's drawn all of us and wrote 'JK Rowling was here'."



No More HP Legos

According to reports from the NYC toy fair, there will be no more Harry Potter LEGOs in the future because, at this point, the series has gotten much darker and "it has become very hard to produce kid-friendly sets".



Rowling Fumes After Friend Puts Gifts On eBay

J.K. Rowling is reportedly enraged that items gifted to a pal have been put for sale on eBay. She was said to be livid that a 5,000-pound price tag had been placed on the gifts presented to a family friend before she hit the spotlight. "We gather Ms. Rowling is not pleased that they have been resold," said the seller.

Equus' Final Performance

Equus saw its final Broadway performance on Sunday, February 8th. The Playbill reported, "When it closes, the acclaimed revival will have played 21 previews and 156 regular performances." Previews began September 5, 2008, with an official opening on September 25.



Emma Nervous About Kiss

Emma Watson revealed that she is just as nervous as Rupert Grint when it comes to the Ron/Hermione kiss in Deathly Hallows. Rupert believes the scene will be particularly difficult to film because of his ongoing friendship with Emma.



King's View On Rowling Vs. Meyer

Horror master Stephen King slammed Twilight author Stephenie Meyer in a recent interview with USA Weekend, comparing her to J.K. Rowling. "Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people," he says. "The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." Mr. King went on to compare Meyer to Perry Mason creator Erle Stanley Gardner with this faint praise, "He was a terrible writer, too, but he was very successful."

DH Filming To Resume In Two Weeks

Filming on Deathly Hallows will begin in two weeks, according to a new report by the BBC. Pre-production at Leavesden Studios was recently halted when a stuntman suffered spinal injuries after a fall. The studio has since reopened. "We have not begun filming yet and will not do so for another two weeks. This has always been the case," the representative said. "Filming will commence mid-February and go through to spring 2009." Both Deathly Hallows Part I and Part II will be shot back-to-back.
